What I Do

Three ways I can help

Mobile Notary

I travel to your home, office, hospital, care facility, or a neutral meeting spot — whatever is easiest for you.

  • Powers of attorney & healthcare directives
  • Affidavits and sworn statements
  • Deeds, titles, and property documents
  • Consent and authorization forms
  • Parental travel consent letters
  • Contracts and business agreements
  • School, employment, and immigration forms

Please bring valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID — and don't sign the document beforehand. I have to witness the signature.

Business Formation Filings

Illinois is genuinely picky about formation paperwork, and a rejected filing costs you weeks. I prepare and file it correctly the first time.

  • Articles of Organization (LLC)
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Assumed name / DBA registrations
  • Foreign qualification for out-of-state entities
  • EIN application assistance
  • Name availability searches
  • Certificates of Good Standing
  • Operating agreement & bylaw preparation

Entity Maintenance

Most businesses don't lose good standing on purpose — a deadline slips past during a busy month. I keep track so you don't have to.

  • Annual report preparation & filing
  • Compliance calendars & deadline tracking
  • Corporate records & minute books
  • Registered agent change filings
  • Amendments, dissolutions, withdrawals
  • Multi-state entity portfolios
  • Apostille & document authentication

Straightforward Pricing

You'll know the cost before we schedule

Illinois law sets the maximum fee for a notarial act at $5 per signature. Because I travel to you, a separate travel fee applies based on distance and time of day. I quote both before we book anything, and your receipt itemizes them separately — always.

Travel — surrounding suburbs$[XX]
After hours, weekends, holidays$[XX]

Business filing services are quoted per project — a single-member LLC formation and a ten-entity compliance cleanup are very different jobs. State filing fees are billed separately at cost; I don't mark them up.

Where I Travel

Serving Chicago's near west suburbs

Based in Forest Park, I regularly travel to Oak Park, River Forest, Berwyn, Maywood, Elmwood Park, Cicero, Melrose Park, Riverside, Brookfield, La Grange, and Chicago's West Side.

Outside that range? Ask anyway — I can often accommodate with additional travel time.

Business filing and entity maintenance services are available to clients anywhere in Illinois — and for multi-state entity portfolios, nationwide. That work doesn't require me to be in the room.

Who You're Working With

Isabella Scott

I'm a commissioned Illinois Notary Public and a corporate paralegal. For most of the last decade I've done exactly this work inside large organizations.

At Dentons — one of the world's largest law firms — I handled corporate compliance filings and maintained records for more than 100 entities. Before that I spent nearly six years at AIT Worldwide Logistics managing entity filings, contracts, and compliance across 80+ domestic and international entities in more than ten states.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Roosevelt University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies from College of DuPage.

I started ISCO Strategic Operations because small business owners deserve the same careful, deadline-driven filing work that large corporations pay firms handsomely for — without the firm's billing rate.

What that means for you: I know what makes the Secretary of State reject a filing, I track deadlines obsessively, and I treat your documents as confidential, because that's the standard I was trained in.

Questions

Frequently asked

What should I bring to a notary appointment?

A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport — and the complete document, unsigned. I have to witness you sign it.

Can you tell me whether I should form an LLC or a corporation?

No — and you should be wary of anyone in my position who says yes. That's a legal question that depends on your taxes, liability exposure, and goals, and answering it would mean practicing law without a license. What I can do is prepare and file whichever entity you decide on, quickly and correctly. If you need help making that decision, I'm glad to point you toward a business attorney or CPA.

Do you provide witnesses?

I can often arrange a witness with advance notice — please ask when booking. Some documents require witnesses who aren't related to you and have no interest in the transaction.

How fast can you get my LLC filed?

Illinois offers both standard and expedited processing. I'll walk you through current timelines and costs, and file the same day you approve the documents.

What if my business already lost good standing?

That's fixable more often than people expect — it usually means back annual reports and penalty fees. Send me your entity name and I'll look up exactly what's outstanding.

Do you keep a record of notarizations?

Yes. Illinois requires notaries to maintain a journal of notarial acts, and I keep mine in compliance with state law. Journals are retained for seven years. I never record ID numbers or biometric information — that's prohibited.
